Although France is traditionally considered the salad homeland, where it was invented to mix vegetables with a spicy sauce, we have attributed a variety of vegetables and herbs to our favourite meals in Latvia since ancient times. We are usually mixing these vegetables and herbs with sour cream and serve with potatoes, meat or as a separate dish. Spring comes to the Latvian tables along with the first greens and radishes.
